Noah and the Whale Announce Autumn Tour

Noah and the Whale have announced an extensive UK-wide tour to take place in October, in support of their latest album Last Night on Earth. The release of their third album earlier this year signalled a shift in musical direction for the Twickenham four-piece, away from their previous folksy sound and towards a more multi-layered synth-pop sound.

Avril Lavigne Announces Two UK Shows

Avril Lavigne, the Canadian artist best known for her punchy pop-punk anthems, will perform two dates in the UK later this year. The UK dates form part of a much bigger world tour that Avril is currently embarked upon. The Black Star world tour is in support of Avril's fourth studio album, Goodbye Lullaby, which was released earlier this year.

Take That to Release Extra Tickets to Progress Live Tour

Blink 182 Postpone UK Tour Until Summer 2012

Blink 182 have postponed their upcoming summer tour of the UK by a whole year. The band's 10 UK gigs, that were due to take place in July of this year, have all been rescheduled for dates in June and July of 2012. The reason for the postponement is due to the fact that Blink 182's new album is taking longer to record than first thought, and they want to have new material to play to their fans when they do eventually go on tour.

The Killers to Headline Hard Rock Calling in Hyde Park

The Killers have today been confirmed as the headline act on the opening night of this year's Hard Rock Calling festival in Hyde Park, London. The Las Vegas four-piece will play a set full of hits taken from their first three studio albums when they perform in Hyde Park on Friday 24th June.

Sheffield's finest indie rockers, Arctic Monkeys, have revealed that they could be heading out on a full UK tour this November. Speaking to Zane Lowe on Radio 1 yesterday evening, Alex Turner and Matt Helders were asked when people can expect to see the band headlining a UK tour. They tentatively responded that they might go on tour during November, although nothing is 'nailed on' yet.

Yesterday morning Scott Mills announced that Radio 1's annual Big Weekend festival will be held in Carlisle on the weekend of the 14th and 15th May. The two-day festival, which is Europe's biggest free ticketed event, will be headlined by Lady Gaga and Foo Fighters. Other acts confirmed for the festival include The Black Eyed Peas, Tinie Tempah, Plan B, plus many more.
