Radio 1's Big Weekend 2011 Line-up Announced

Yesterday morning Scott Mills announced that Radio 1's annual Big Weekend festival will be held in Carlisle on the weekend of the 14th and 15th May. The two-day festival, which is Europe's biggest free ticketed event, will be headlined by Lady Gaga and Foo Fighters. Other acts confirmed for the festival include The Black Eyed Peas, Tinie Tempah, Plan B, plus many more.
Whilst tickets are given away free, the event is likely to be heavily over-subscribed, so festival-goers are not automatically guaranteed a ticket. Tickets are allocated in a ballot system and you must register to be part of the ballot. The registration period ends at 7pm on Thursday 7th April, after which the tickets will be allocated randomly.
