George Michael has announced that he will be returning to the stage later this year. The international pop icon will perform his new concert tour, Symphonica, in more than 15 countries across Europe, including several dates in the UK. George Michael will be accompanied by a symphony orchestra during this tour.
The former Wham! singer will begin the UK leg of his tour with a run of 4 dates at the Royal Albert Hall in London on the 25th, 26th, 28th and 29th October. A further London show will take place at the Royal Opera House on the 6th November.
George Michael will then return to the UK a few weeks later to perform shows at Cardiff Motorpoint Arena (26th Nov), Liverpool Echo Arena (30th Nov), Sheffield Motorpoint Arena (2nd Dec), Newcastle Arena (3rd Dec), Glasgow SECC (6th Dec), Birmingham LG Arena (9th Dec) and Manchester MEN Arena (12th Dec).
Tickets to see George Michael on his Symphonica tour go on sale at 10am on Monday 16th May.
UPDATE: Due to high demand, George Michael has added four extra dates to his Symphonica UK tour. The extra shows will take place at Cardiff Motorpoint Arena (27th Nov), Glasgow SECC (7th Dec) , Birmingham LG Arena (10th Dec) and Manchester MEN Arena (13th Dec).
UPDATE: Two extra London shows have just been announced for Earls Court on the 16th and 17th December.
