12th October 2010
Lee Evans will return to the live comedy scene next year with his most ambitious tour to date. Lee's new tour is to be named Roadrunner, which is quite apt considering the speed at which he bounds around a stage. The new tour will see Lee Evans perform more than 50 arena shows around the UK, making it one of the biggest comedy tours ever undertaken by a British comedian.
Lee Evans Roadrunner tour will kick-off with five shows at the Bournemouth BIC starting on 25th August. It will then travel around the country, with a series of mini-residencies planned for many of the UK's biggest arenas, before it concludes with a six-show stint at the Cardiff CIA starting on 16th November.
Lee Evans previous tour (BIG in 2008) played to over 500,000 people, but his latest tour has the potential to exceed even that. Quite simply, it's going to be huge!
Update 19th October 2010: Due to huge public demand, Lee Evans has announced 11 extra dates for next year's Roadrunner tour. The 11 new dates will take place in Bournemouth (24th Aug), Brighton (6th Sep), Nottingham (12th Sep), London Wembley (14th Sep), Birmingham (26th Sep), London O2 (28th Sep), Dublin (25th Oct), Belfast (29th Oct), Liverpool (2nd Nov) and Cardiff (21st & 22nd Nov). The extra dates mean that Lee will now be performing his new show at 61 dates across 14 cities!
