Ed Sheeran has announced that he will end his 'Multiply World Tour' with a huge show at London's Wembley Stadium on 10th July 2015. The Wembley show will be a fitting finale to a tour that will have seen Ed perform more than 90 gigs across the world in support of his second studio album.
Just last month, Ed Sheeran performed live at arenas in Dublin, Belfast, Leeds, London, Birmingham, Nottingham, Newcastle, Manchester and Glasgow – during the UK & Ireland leg of the tour.
In performing the Wembley Stadium show next year, Ed Sheeran will make history by being the first male solo artist to play the iconic venue on his own, with no band!
Speaking about the upcoming gig, Ed comments: "I've made no secret recently of my ambition to play Wembley Stadium on my own in front of 80,000 people, so I am absolutely over the moon to be able to announce it's going to happen next Summer. It's going to be amazing, I just can’t wait.".
Tickets for Ed Sheeran's Wembley gig next summer will go on general sale at 9am on Friday 28th November. Pre-sales will begin at 9am on Wednesday 26th November for subscribers to Ed's mailing list and O2 priority customers.
UPDATE: Ed Sheeran has announced two more shows at Wembley Stadium on 11th and 12th July.
