George Michael Postpones Remaining UK Tour Dates

George Michael has postponed all remaining dates on his Symphonica UK tour, while he receives treatment for pneumonia. The singer, who was due to perform two shows in Cardiff this weekend, is understood to be in a stable condition and is 'responding well' to treatment in a hospital in Vienna, Austria.

George Michael had been due to perform the following 14 dates in cities across the UK during the run up to Christmas, but those plans have now been put on hold due to his illness:

  • Cardiff Motorpoint Arena - 27th November 2011 - POSTPONED
  • Liverpool Echo Arena - 30th November 2011 - POSTPONED
  • Sheffield Motorpoint Arena - 2nd December 2011 - POSTPONED
  • Newcastle Arena - 3rd December 2011 - POSTPONED
  • Glasgow SECC - 6th December 2011 - POSTPONED
  • Glasgow SECC - 7th December 2011 - POSTPONED
  • Birmingham LG Arena - 9th December 2011 - POSTPONED
  • Birmingham LG Arena - 10th December 2011 - POSTPONED
  • Manchester MEN Arena - 12th December 2011 - POSTPONED
  • Manchester MEN Arena - 13th December 2011 - POSTPONED
  • London Earls Court - 16th December 2011 - POSTPONED
  • London Earls Court - 17th December 2011 - POSTPONED
  • London Earls Court - 19th December 2011 - POSTPONED

A message posted on the singer's website advises ticket holders for the postponed Symphonica UK tour dates to hold onto their tickets, as they will be honoured at the new shows. However, no rescheduled dates have yet been announced.

We wish George a speedy recovery and look forward to seeing him perform live again in 2012!
