Teenage boy band One Direction, formed during last year's X Factor, have announced details of their first ever tour of the UK and Ireland. The tour will take in a total of 16 venues with dates spanning either side of the New Year.
Since finishing last year's X Factor in third place, One Direction have been mobbed by teenage girls wherever they go. The newly announced tour, which will feature songs from the band's forthcoming album, is likely to generate huge interest among their fans. Expect sell-out concerts and scenes of hysteria wherever they perform!
One Direction will begin their tour just before Christmas with a show at Wolverhampton Civic Hall on 21st December. Three more pre-Christmas shows, including a matinee performance, are planned at Manchester's O2 Apollo on 22nd and 23rd December.
The tour will then take a short break before it resumes in the New Year at the following venues: Bournemouth BIC (3rd Jan), Birmingham NIA (4th Jan), Plymouth Pavilions (5th Jan), Nottingham Royal Centre (7th Jan), Brighton Centre (8th Jan), Hammersmith Apollo (10th - 11th Jan), Glasgow SECC (13th - 14th Jan), Liverpool Echo Arena (15th Jan), Newcastle City Hall (17th Jan), Blackpool Opera House (18th Jan), Sheffield City Hall (20th Jan), Cardiff Motorpoint Arena (21st Jan), Hammersmith Apollo (22nd Jan), Dublin O2 (24th Jan) and Belfast Waterfront Hall (25th - 26th Jan).
Tickets to see One Direction on their first ever tour will go on general sale at 10am on Saturday 1st October.
One Direction have added two extra dates to their UK tour: Watford Colosseum (18th Dec) and Southend Cliffs Pavilion (19th Dec). Tickets for the extra dates go on general sale at 10am on Saturday 8th October.
