Mike & The Mechanics announce 2011 Tour

80s and 90s pop legends, Mike & The Mechanics, best known for their hits The Living Years, Over My Shoulder and Word of Mouth have announced a new UK tour that will take place in April and May 2011.

The tour, entitled Hit the Road Tour 2011, will celebrate the release of their new album, The Road, due to be released in April next year, but you can bet your bottom dollar they will be playing the classics too.

Mike & The Mechanics front man, Mike Rutherford, was responsible for putting the original line-up together in 1984 and since then they have gone on to sell more than ten million albums worldwide.

The band has initially announced 22 dates throughout Scotland, England and Wales and tickets will go on sale at 9:00am on Friday, 26th November.
