The Voice is the BBC's answer to The X Factor. It's a TV talent contest that features a group of singing hopefuls battling it out to become crowned as the UK's next great voice.
Each of the show's four coaches - Jessie J, will.i.am, Danny O'Donoghue and Sir Tom Jones - assemble a team of singers during an initial blind audition, when only the singer's voice is heard. The four coaches then mentor their team members and try to guide them through to the final round. The winner is eventually crowned "The Voice" and receives a recording contract.
The final eight contestants on The Voice had been due to take part in a live UK arena tour in September 2012, however, the tour was cancelled due to poor ticket sales.
