Matt Cardle won the seventh series of The X-Factor in 2010, beating Rebecca Ferguson and boyband One Direction in the live final. The former painter and decorator from Essex received a £1 million recording contract following his win. Matt Cardle's first single - a cover of Biffy Clyro's Many of Horror which was re-titled When We Collide - became the UK Christmas number one.
Matt Cardle's debut album, Letters, was released in October 2011 and reached number 2 in the UK chart. The first single to be taken from the album, a track titled Run For Your Life, also peaked at number 2 in the UK singles chart.
Matt Cardle has announced a 22-date tour of the UK and Ireland, to take place in February and March 2012. It will be Matt's very first solo tour.
