Russell Watson

Russell Watson is probably Britain's finest tenor. His career started early, as a child performing at a working men's club. However, it wasn't until 2001 that he sky-rocketed as a classical-cum-pop artist, after singing at three large sporting events including the Rugby League final at Wembley Stadium.

Russell's debut album, The Voice, was released in 2001 and consisted of a mixture of popular and classical tracks. It became the first classical album ever to reach the number one spot in both the UK and US classical album charts.

In May and June 2012, Russell Watson will perform a series of tribute concerts across the UK to mark the occasion of the Queen's Diamond Jubilee.
