Shakin' Stevens

Cardiff-born Shakin' Stevens was a huge success in the eighties with hits like Green Door, Oh Julie and This Ole House. Shakin' Stevens (Michael Barratt) had fifteen top ten hits including four number ones and began his career as Shakin' Stevens and the Sunsets. Stevens left the Sunsets after being offered the role of Elvis in the West End musical of the same name.

His posters adorned many a teenage girl's bedroom wall during the eighties and his trademark double-denim look made him stand out from the crowd.
