Level 42

British pop and rock group, Level 42 enjoyed huge success throughout the eighties and nineties. The distinctive sound of Mark King's slap-bass combined with his and Mike Lindup's falsetto vocals mark them out as one of the finest bands of the era. The group split in 1994 but re-formed in 2001 with a mainly new line-up. 2010 marks their 30th anniversary and they are celebrating it with a European tour with a few dates in the US.

Level 42 released eleven studio albums between 1981 and 2006 including True Colours, Running in the Family and Staring at the Sun. Despite releasing thirty-four singles they failed to reach the number one spot in the UK charts. Lessons in Love was their best performing single reaching number three in 1986.
